Subject: Invitation for the student competition on ‘Cluster Development –Marketing Strategies and Success Stories’ 
We are proud to inform you that IES Management College and Research Centre and Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC), with the active cooperation and support of the Govt. of Maharashtra and MSME Development Institute, Mumbai, are organizing the 4th National Business Conference ‘MSMEs – Gearing up to Global Competitiveness’ on Wednesday,  20th November 2013at Manik Sabha Griha, ‘Vishwakarma’ M.D. Lotlikar Vidya Sankul, Plot No. 791, S.K. Marg, Bandra Reclamation, Bandra (West), Mumbai – 400 050.  Our Guests include luminaries like: 
Hon’ble Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister, Maharashtra has been requested to be the chief guest at the conference
Hon’ble Shri Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister, Goa has been requested to be the guest of honour at the conference
Hon’ble Mr. Narayanrao Rane, Industries Minister of Maharashtra, has been requested to address the Valedictory Session 
(Their confirmation is awaited.) 
While the government representatives from the Industries Department / Development Commissioner of Industry would focus on the relevance and role of MSMEs in the growth of the Industrial sector, MEDC would bring to focus important issues concerning the MSME sector based on which policy initiatives could be taken by the Government of Maharashtra. The participating Banks would explain the details of the schemes offered by the banks and the terms of MSME credit. 
In keeping with our practice of the last four years, with a view to encouraging students from across disciplines, to have an exposure to MSME sector, we are also organizing a competition on ‘Cluster Development –Marketing Strategies and Success Stories’. As you are aware, this competition has students of all premier educational institutions participating, making it a keenly contested and sought after event with very attractive cash prizes totaling Rs 30,000/ to be won: First Prize Rs.15,000/-, Second Prize Rs. 10,000/-, Third Prize Rs. 5,000/-. 
I am attaching the details of the competition and the rules to be followed. I request you to publicize the event among the students and kindly display the same on your bulletin board. Since all institutions of higher education have identified Entrepreneurship as an area of priority for the students, we are confident you will attend the conference and encourage your students to participate in the competition.
